Click fraud detection that scores the conversion too
Bots click ads, then they fill in forms. They already make up the majority of web traffic, 51% in 2024, with malicious bots at 37%[2], and the ones that convert train your bidding algorithm to buy more of the traffic that produced them. ClickLens scores each session on 40+ behavioural signals and grades each conversion's provenance, in real time.
Automated bidding optimises toward whatever converts
Target CPA, target ROAS, Maximise Conversions, Advantage+: every automated bidding product works the same way. It looks at which clicks became conversions and buys more clicks like those. The algorithm has no idea whether a conversion was a person or a script that filled four fields in 90 milliseconds.
So a fake conversion costs you twice. Once for the click, then again every day the algorithm keeps steering budget toward the source that produced it.
Run the numbers on your own account: take last month's conversions, discount the ones that arrived too fast to be a person filling a form, and recompute your true CPA. Then remember your bidding algorithm set its targets from the inflated figure.
Fraud protection across the whole funnel
From the first click to the conversion record in your reports, every step is scored and every verdict shows its evidence.
Conversion Protection
Every conversion is graded before it becomes truth in your reporting. Form-fill timing, paste-without-focus events, field-order entropy and trusted-event checks: seven provenance signals, none of which read what your visitors type. Verdicts are pass, downweight or retract.
Learn moreReal-Time Click Detection
A 13 KB-gzipped tag scores every session on 40+ behavioural signals in real time. Beacons are HMAC-signed with replay protection, so a forged or empty payload cannot pass as human.
Learn moreSmart Exclusions
IP and placement exclusions are generated from detected bot traffic and synced to Google Ads. Microsoft and Meta take placement exclusions only (Meta has no advertiser-side IP exclusion) and are rolling out. TikTok has no exclusion API, so ClickLens reports flagged placements instead of pretending to block them.
Learn moreVerified Efficacy
Precision and recall are measured daily against verified outcomes: CRM-confirmed leads, disputes you file, honeypot catches and manually verified sessions. New detectors run in shadow mode first and only change verdicts after their false-positive rate is measured on real traffic.

Four steps from install to verdicts you can act on.
Install the tag
Add a single JavaScript snippet to your landing pages. It takes less than 2 minutes and works with any platform.
Score the click
Every session gets a 0–100 humanness score built from automation markers, fingerprint consistency, behaviour, network reputation and page context.
Score the conversion
When a form is submitted or a purchase completes, ClickLens grades the conversion’s provenance and the journey that led to it. Teleporting straight to a thank-you page reads differently from browsing to it.
Act on verdicts
Bot IPs and placements sync to your Google Ads exclusion lists automatically; Microsoft and Meta placement sync is rolling out. Conversion adjustments that restate or retract fake conversions on Google Ads are rolling out under the same measured discipline, with Microsoft to follow.
Every verdict shows its reasoning
Each session decomposes into five scored categories with named flags. Each conversion verdict lists the contradictions that produced it. If you disagree, dispute the session, and the engine is measured against your call.

Frequently asked questions
What is click fraud?
Click fraud is when bots and click farms click paid ads with no genuine interest in what they advertise. Juniper Research estimated ad fraud cost advertisers around $84 billion in 2023, about 22% of all online ad spend, and projected $172 billion by 2028. Bots now make up the majority of web traffic: Imperva measured 51% in 2024, with malicious bots at 37%.
What is conversion fraud, and why does it matter more than fake clicks?
Conversion fraud is bots completing the actions you optimise for: form fills, sign-ups, add-to-carts, even purchases. With bots now the majority of web traffic (Imperva put them at 51% in 2024), a share of those completed actions are automated rather than human. A fake click wastes one click’s budget; a fake conversion also feeds your automated bidding, which then steers more budget toward the traffic source that produced it.
How does ClickLens detect ad fraud?
A lightweight JavaScript tag collects 40+ behavioural signals per session, including mouse movement patterns, device fingerprints, automation markers and network reputation. The scoring engine classifies each session as human, suspect or bot in real time, and every beacon is HMAC-signed so a forged payload cannot score as human.
How does ClickLens score conversions without reading my forms?
The tag never reads field values, field names or anything a visitor types. It records meta-signals only: whether the submit event was browser-trusted, whether a pointer path preceded it, time from page load to conversion, paste-without-focus events, and the entropy of the field-fill order. A script bulk-assigning four fields in 90 milliseconds looks nothing like a person filling in a form.
Does ClickLens change my ad platform conversion data?
Verdicts and flags are visible on every conversion in your dashboard today. On Google and Microsoft Ads, ClickLens can restate or retract fake conversions through each platform’s documented adjustment API; this write-back is rolling out under shadow-mode measurement with a 10% holdout. Meta and TikTok provide no adjustment API, so retractions there are report-only.
Will the tracking tag slow down my website?
No. The ClickLens tag is about 13 KB gzipped, loads asynchronously, and does not block page rendering. It has no measurable impact on Core Web Vitals or page speed scores.
